ISWA Indian Community Center Hire Charges (2022/2023)

Note: Seating system and chairs & tables are included in the standard hire charges of the auditorium. Hirer can select seating system or tables and chairs. They will not be shown as optional items and there will be no discounts if not used.

Once you book, you acknowledge and accept all responsibility of any incidents occurring during your booking period. ISWA or ICC will not be held accountable for any damage, loss of property or any injury caused to anyone from the use of the premises. If any damage caused to the property, you will take full responsibility for any cost to repair the property.

TERMS OF HIRE

Hirer’s Responsibilities

  1. Hirers to familiarize themselves with building map/site plan and emergency evacuation procedure. 
  2. Hirer to show respect and courtesy for other users of the facility and those nearby
  3. Hirer to take responsibility for the actions and behaviors of all people who attend
  4. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the building is secured prior to leaving the premises. 
  5. Venue must be booked including the bump-in to bump-out timing to avoid overlap and interface with another booking and must be vacated within booking time after pack-up and cleaning.  
  6. Hirers is responsible for and ensuring that premises is left in a clean and tidy condition, floors swept/mopped/vacuumed as required. Tables and chairs stacked and stored in their designated area.   
  7. All rubbish to be disposed into provided bins (located at the bin enclosure) and empty the wheelie bin or small bin into the big bins kept inside fence on right side of back of the building (bin enclosure).  
  8. Hirer to ensure that no object is dragged or bounced inside the ICC facility
  9. Hirer to ensure no vehicles is parked outside of the marked parking bays
  10. Hirer to ensure all deliveries to the facility occur within the booked hire times
  11. Any spillage or stain on the carpet area by the hirer require professional cleaning, the cost shall be deducted from bond money. 
  12. Minors/children shall always be under supervision at all times and not allowed alone inside the lift. 
  13. Hirer to ensure all lights are turned-OFF, Aircon is OFF, water taps are shut and windows are closed/shut before leaving the ICC premises. 
  14. Hirer are to ensure that all steps are taken to minimize the NOISE levels from their use of auditorium/halls, including the closure of doors and/or windows, reduction of music levels, control of noise. 
  15. The Hirer is responsible for locking and arming the building correctly. Failure to secure the ICC premises or breach of any other conditions of hire will result in a charge being deducted from the bond money. 
  16. In the event of an emergency the hirer is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely evacuation of all attendees through the building’s emergency exits. 
  17. Any tap or glue used for sticking the decoration material must be removed prior to handing the facility back.
  18. The hirer is responsible for any incident occurred inside the facility during the period of their use of the facility.
  19. All furniture and other items available in ICC are the property of ICC and shall NOT be removed or relocated from ICC. Hirer to ensure that they take due care in using the ICC furniture and properties. If any damage occurred must be reported to the ICC Chair immediately. 
  20. Hirer shall inform the ICC booking officer if any material or furniture is being sourced from outside. The lift is for passenger’s use only and must not be used for transporting heavy materials. 
  21. Food and drinks are not allowed on the retractable seating system.

Other Restrictions

  1. Live fire or smoke is not allowed inside the hall or auditorium. They may trigger fire alarms.
  2. No inflatable/amusement equipment such as bouncy castles, bucking bulls etc. are permitted inside the building. 
  3. Confetti, glitter, or other similar materials are strictly forbidden either inside or outside the building. Helium balloons must be anchored. The use of paints or dyes is strictly forbidden. 
  4. Use profane or improper language and/or any misbehavior whatsoever is not acceptable. 
  5. Smoking is NOT permitted within the ICC premises.  
  6. The driving of nails and screws etc. into any part of the building fixtures and fittings is strictly forbidden. 

Alcohol Policy

  1. Alcohol is permitted to use in moderate quantities as part of social function/gathering provided all conditions of liquor licensing act 1988 is complied with and a liquor license is obtained from the Dept of Racing, Gaming and Liquor from their online portal: Racing, Gaming and Liquor. Under no circumstances alcohol is allowed to be sold within the ICC Premises

Noise

  1. No DJ, bands or amplified music is allowed outside the building. Any fines on non-compliance of noise level control shall be payable by the hirer. 
  2. All amplified sound must be turned off by 10:00 pm. No sound noise should go outside the building after 10:00 pm.

Cleaning

The facility used by the hirer must be returned in cleaned condition for use by the next hirer. If the property is found to be untidy or uncleaned, the ICC management will organize the cleaning/repairs and shall deduct the cost incurred from the bond money. 

Cancellations

  1. In the event of any cessation or interruption of electricity or gas supplies, industrial disputes, plant or equipment failure, other unforeseen contingency or accident, ISWA reserve the right to cancel any booking or refund any deposit without notice.
  2. ISWA reserves the right to refuse any booking for any reason.
  3. If the hirer cancels their booking, the following conditions will apply:
    • All cancellations to be received by email to icc.booking@iswa-perth.org at least 30 days prior to the date of event.
    • Auditorium booking cancelled more than 30 days before their booked activity/event date, a cancellation fee will be payable equivalent to 20% of the auditorium hire charge including GST, applicable to the booking.
    • Auditorium bookings cancelled within 30 days or less, a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the auditorium hire charge including GST will be applicable. Bond and equipment hire charges will be refunded in such cases.
    • Ground floor facilities cancelled 30 days prior to the date of event, they are entitled for full refund of all charges and bonds that apply to that booking.
    • Ground floor facilities cancelled between 7 and 30 days prior to the date of the event, a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the hire charges will be applicable. Bonds if applicable will be refunded.
    • Ground floor facilities cancelled in less than 7 days of the date of event, a cancellation fee equivalent of 100% of hire changes will be applicable. Bonds will be refunded where applicable.

Discounts

  • Discounts are available on hall hire charges as per the following:
    1. Individual Founding Member (ICC): 10%
    2. Not for Profit Organizations: 10%
    3. Founding Business Member: 10%
    4. ISWA Member Association: 20%
    5. Founding Association Member (ICC): 30% 

Discounts available for associations and organizations are applicable for their activity and events only. Discounts will not be available for private functions booked under association or organization’s name. Discount rates as listed above are automatically applied on your booking charges.
