Our Vision and Objective
The ISWA Student Wing is committed to supporting students of Indian heritage throughout their journey in Western Australia. Our aim is to help students navigate the challenges of settling in Australia, overcoming hardships, and achieving personal and academic development. Through mentorship, job readiness programs, networking opportunities, and social and cultural integration initiatives, we strive to ensure that every student is well-equipped to succeed and thrive in their academic and professional lives.
Our objectives include:
- Supporting Students’ Settlement: Helping students adjust to life in Australia and offering guidance on settling in a new environment.
- Providing Mentorship and Development: Offering mentorship to support students’ personal and academic growth, as well as career development.
- Promoting Job Readiness: Equipping students with the skills and resources to prepare for the workforce, including resume building, interview skills, and job placement assistance.
- Fostering Networking Opportunities: Creating opportunities for students to connect with professionals, alumni, and peers for career guidance, collaboration, and personal growth.
- Cultural and Social Integration: Facilitating students’ integration into the broader Western Australian community while preserving and celebrating their Indian heritage.
What We Do
The ISWA Student Wing offers a range of programs and services aimed at supporting students during their time in Western Australia:
1. Settlement Support and Guidance
- Orientation Programs: Welcome new students with orientation sessions to provide essential information about life in Australia, including housing, banking, healthcare, and cultural norms.

2. Mentorship & Career Development
