Indian Community Centre
Itâs a dream of the Indian diaspora in Western Australia to have our own community centre. The vision has existed for years, and many of our community leaders have put in relentless efforts towards this.Â
The $2.5 Million federal government grant, which was announced in 2019 - to build the Indian community Centre in Perth, has finally been signed off on the 74th Independence Day of India, 15th August 2020.
Thanks to Hon Ben Morton, Asst Minister to the Prime Minister Office and Cabinet, and theFederal Government of Australia for supporting the Indian diaspora in WA on this great cause. The demolition of the old property is now in progress, and the brand new Indian Community Centre will be inaugurated by April 2021.
