Satish Nair  

Satish Nair is an exploration Geologist with more than 25 years’ experience, currently working as Exploration Manager. His notable community work includes  

  • Covid Assistance Program Lead which ran for 1 year  
  • Repatriation Flights (charted) for the temporary residents of Indian origin at the peak of pandemic by negotiating with various airlines at affordable price.  
  • Organised one of the most successful Diwali Mela’s in ISWA’s history during pandemic. 
  • Organised first ever India Day parade in the heart of Perth CBD, to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. 
  • Board Member for ECCWA, since 2020. 

 

Satish was the Lead for ISWA’s Covid Assistance Program and Diwali Mela. The former program was to assist the students and temporary residents with grocery, financial assistance, etc. which included a grant of $188,000 from Lottery west. As part of this, more than 1,000 students got direct help. 

Satish’s efforts helped about 600 stranded Indian residents get back home by organizing repatriation flights.

Satish is a capable administrator and Influential leader in the Indian Community. Satish’s multicultural awareness and relentless work has made him the strong face of Indian community among all member associations.
