Description

 

General Terms for Food Stalls

  1. Pricing for Water: Water can only be sold for a maximum price of $2.
  2. Food Vans/Trucks: Food vans/trucks must secure the necessary permits and will not have access to electrical points.
  3. Stall Allocation: Stalls will be allocated based on approval from the Holi Organizing Committee and on a first-come-first-served basis, contingent on full payment of the stall hire.
  4. Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued for vendors who are unable to participate in the event.
  5. Food Handling: All food items must be covered and handled in compliance with health and safety regulations as required by government and local authorities.
  6. Food Coupons: Stall holders must honour food coupons issued by Holi organizers. The full value of these coupons will be reimbursed.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Requirements

  1. Insurance: Food stall vendors must maintain the following insurance:
    • Workers’ Compensation
    • Public & Product Liability insurance with coverage not less than $10,000,000
    • Vehicle insurance (comprehensive coverage)
      A copy of the insurance certificates must be provided.
  2. Rubbish Disposal:
    • Vendors are responsible for removing their own rubbish from the site.
    • No cooking oil should be disposed of in bins or on the ground.
    • Stall areas should be cleaned before vacating the site.
  3. Food Storage and Temperature Control:
    • Food must be stored at least 150mm above the ground.
    • Sellers are responsible for maintaining proper temperatures (hot/cold) of food after preparation, using the required equipment.
  4. Power Supply:
    • Food stalls must bring their own power supply (e.g., power boards).
    • Electrical outlets will not support heavy equipment like hot plates; gas bottles should be used for heating and cooking.
  5. Fire Safety:
    • Food stalls are responsible for having a fire extinguisher and fire blanket available.

Event Operations and Stall Setup

  1. Stall Setup: Food stalls must be set up at least one hour before the event starts and remain operational throughout the event.
  2. Vacating the Stall: Stalls must be vacated promptly at the time designated by the Claremont Showgrounds. Failure to vacate on time may result in additional administrative and power charges.
  3. Stall Vacancy: If a stall is not occupied on time, it may be reallocated to another vendor, and the stall fee will not be refunded.
  4. Stall Operation:
    • Stalls must operate from the start to the end of the event.
    • Vendors are responsible for ensuring their stall is clean and safe at all times.

Additional Conditions

  1. No Music: No music or audio equipment is allowed to be played in any food stalls.
  2. Vendor Equipment: All electrical equipment used by food stalls must be tested and tagged according to Australian standards.
  3. Compliance with Regulations: Food stall holders must comply with all local, government, and food safety regulations, including the Food Act and relevant council requirements.

Liability and Indemnity

  1. Liability: Food stall holders use the stall space at their own risk. They are responsible for any accidents, damage, injury, or loss that may occur due to their goods or operations. The Holi Organizing Committee is not liable for any such incidents.

Important Reminders

  • Trolley Use: Please bring your own trolley to transport goods to your stall to avoid delays and congestion.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Ensure your stall has minimal environmental impact and is kept clean and tidy throughout the event.
